I prefer to be true to myself, even at the hazard of incurring the ridicule of others, rather than to be false, and to incur my own abhorrence.

Frederick Douglass

You are reading this book likely because you have experienced a major wake up call in your life. Red Alert: you know you must do something. Your innate resources are rallying within you. Have faith in the purest of your energy. Simply know that you have been given life, therefore you have worth. Let this simple knowledge pervade you. You are worthy. Now realize that you are powered by an energy that beats your heart and pumps your blood. You have the right to call it to your aid actively. Claim your vibrant health and prosperous abundance. Your choice of what you focus on makes all the difference here in the arena of your attitude. In the end it is your attitude that wins all races.

The first step on the high road is to stop being so hard on you. You have done the best you could with what you had. Try to become the silent observer, the non-judgmental witness to your situation. Have compassion for yourself.   Start to be with yourself profoundly by deeply embracing your inherent value. You have been born. You are here, and therefore you are precious. If you choose you also have something of excellence to offer—you, fully expressed. You, actively evolving, fully vested in your life’s highest good manifest. Now stop wasting time asking, “Why?” Start asking, “How?” Utilize whatever you‘ve got.

Be truthful with yourself; recognize and acknowledge your shortcomings. You are defeated only when you fail to discover the truth about yourself. You cannot find the cause of your failures outside of yourself. By letting go of blame and accepting the full responsibility for your life and all its causes, you give yourself the power to create purposefully.

Bear in mind that every sense impression you receive through your five senses, influences you as surely as the sun rises in the East and sets in the West. Your mind takes in every spoken word you hear. It takes in every sight your eyes see. Your mind has unlimited capacity. Little ol’ you are responsible for taking control of the programming. Be gentle with yourself as you take the helm of your focus. This is a process to be mastered. When it comes to manifesting your desired life, your thoughts should be condemned or praised for their work. How is your current thinking doing? Getting you where you want to go? If not, change.

Sunrise

You can begin by listening to your heartbeat, simply plug your ears and listen. Think: this primal rhythm bonds me to all living things. You can find much comfort in the sound of your heartbeat. Listen to your heart and hear the voice of love. You are connected. You are valuable, feel it in the beating of your heart. Let it beat the resonance of your worth deeply into the fiber of your being. Meditate on your heart; look for its loving guidance. Hear your heart’s song and feel what inspires you, for it is uniquely your own. Take heed and be joyous as you begin to own it. Let these miracles into your life.

Intentionally Affirm

I intend that confidence is mine for the asking. I now ask confidence into my life. I allow it in positively; for I know that I am safe. I am grateful, and I give thanks. So be it, so it is.
