Examine your thoughts; if you feel bad, blame your thoughts. When a thought comes unbidden into your mind telling you, “You are not good enough” or “You are not worth it,” say to yourself; Aha, here I find a harmful script written by my loving, younger self. This negative self talk no longer serves my highest good. It is what depresses me. I now choose a different script. I choose one that empowers me.”

You have said this disparaging thing to yourself so many times it has become your truth. Consciously grab that elusive negative impetus. This toxic thought stands between where you are and where you want to be. Know when you meet these negative thoughts in your mind that they are illusions blocking you from your aspirations. You can masterfully create your belief system to support you when you need it most. It begins with a choice, right here, right now. Choose you. You are worth it.

A primary goal of this practice is to gain control of your thoughts thereby getting a hold of your feelings. You want to start at when the negative thought first comes into your mind. Grab that negative thought, and call it out as a liar and a thief. It is a liar because it’s a story that your perception is telling you. It is a thief because it has stolen many a positive choices from you.

Remember this Law of Physics: things in motions tend to say in motion; things at rest tend to stay at rest, until acted upon by an external force. You have about 15 seconds to stop a negative thought before it becomes a full-blown feeling. In a moment’s choice you literally can change the direction of your life. Place in your mind, through self-suggestion, the positive constructive thoughts, which correspond with your greatest desire. Your mind will transform those thoughts into physical reality. Focus your attention on controlling your thoughts. Know without a shadow of a doubt that your dominating thoughts will manifest the reality of your life. Your success or failure is defined in the nature of your thoughts. Much of your misery stems from lack of self-control and self-control boils down to thought control. The door to the source of your power is opened the moment you learn to control your thoughts.

Thought is the most important tool you can use to fashion your future. It is the only thing over which you have absolute control. It would be a great shame to let most of your thoughts be externally stimulated. When you deliberately choose the thoughts that dominate your mind and firmly refuse to admit outside suggestion, you are exercising the highest form of self control. You are using your free will with great proficiency.

This power of thought control is a gift given to humans. Exercise thought control well and you will be blessed with a rich life. Like attracts like. You get only what you give.

Intentionally Affirm

I intend that concentration is mine for the asking. I now ask concentration into my life. I allow it in positively; for I know that I am safe. I am grateful, and I give thanks. So be it, so it is.
